Graffiti vandals cost American retailers more than $600 million annually in replacement costs associated with scratched glass. Vandals know that glass is expensive and difficult to replace. Often times building owner and tenants will not be able to replace the glass quickly, so the graffiti remains visible for a long period of time. As a result, glass graffiti has become a “tagging” method of choice for these vandals.

How It Works

Optically clear and distortion free, anti-graffiti security window film acts as a sacrificial barrier to protect glass from costly graffiti, etching, or high-traffic wear. Vandals think they are etching the glass when in fact they are only damaging the film. After such an event has occurred, the damaged anti-graffiti film is removed and a new layer is installed at a cost significantly less than the cost of removing and replacing the glass. Special adhesives are used which allow for easier removal and without glue-transfer onto the protected surface.

Anti-graffiti film is designed to protect glass, polycarbonates and virtually any flat smooth surface including:

Although designed for graffiti mitigation, these films also help hold glass together in an attempted forced entry and can deter smash and grab theft.

Fade Protection

Anti-graffiti films are made of durable clear polyesters containing UV inhibitors that block 99.9% of the sun’s damaging UV rays. This helps mitigate fade damage to furnishings, wood, carpet and artwork.
